Project Overview
Proper kitchen lighting is one of the highest-impact, most affordable upgrades you can make. This lighting overhaul replaced a single overhead fixture with a three-layer system: three matte black pendant lights over the island, continuous LED strips under all upper cabinets, and six recessed can lights in the ceiling.
Each lighting layer is on its own dimmer switch, giving the homeowners complete control over the ambience. The under-cabinet lighting alone eliminated all dark work surfaces and made cooking dramatically more enjoyable.
